HAND MADE THANK YOU CARD USING FLOWERS FOR MUM FROM CLOSE TO MY HEART AUSTRALIA - Atlantic Hearts Challenge #91

ATLANTIC HEARTS SKETCH CHALLENGE #91
I am so honoured and excited, I have been asked to be a Designer for the Atlantic Hearts Challenge Design Team

Photobucket

Today am highlighting how easy it is to do some two step stamping

I haven't done any two step stamping for a while and thought I would, test myself again and I found the Close To My Heart stamp set FLOWERS FOR MUM from our new Seasonal Expressions mini catalogue was the perfect stamp set to do it with.  In the picture below are the flowers used in the card.  The dark coloured and the white outlined shape of the flower.  The secret to affective two step stamping is using the full dark image stamp in a light colour, the using the white outlined stamp, using out acrylic blocks,  ink up in a darker colour and line it up over the top of the already stamped lighter colour.  The affect can be obtained by either inking with the similar colours one darker then the other.  Or by using Slate or Basic Black. The colours I have used are hollyhock and slate and of course our gorgeous new thick pink twine. If you would like to see more of these products, simply CLICK HERE

HANDMADE MONSTER HIGH BIRTHDAY CARD AND NECKLACE - BASE AND BLING FROM CLOSE TO MY HEART

My dd12 is invited to a friends Monster High birthday party today
and asked me if I could make her a card and a necklace using the

Well it was a little bit of a challenge because close to my heart don't sell Monster high, so of course I didn't have anything other, so I printed off a colouring in page of the Clawdeen Wolf Monster High doll (which I coloured mainly with our Shin Han Alcohol markers) and the monster high image, which I shrunk to a 1"square and set it in our
Base and Bling Square Pendant with some Liquid Glass and Square Glass cover.  Perfect, now to add some of Gorgeous Charms,  I found a used jewellery box and decorated it with Confetti Paper pack, Pink Shimmer Trim and a bow.

HANDMADE DISPLAYS FOR BASE N BLING - WITH CLOSE TO MY HEART CUT ABOVE KITS

Close to my Heart make handmade gift giving so much easier.
With the fantastic range of Close To My Heart Base N Bling range, they have everything from cuffs to chains, charms, sentiments and all sorts of shape and sizes.  I am so addicted to this range and have given so many hand made unique gifts using the Base N Bling range that I just had to come up with a really nice way to package them.

Tad dah !!!!  Don't know why I hadn't thought to do this earlier - put them in and display them in the Close To My Heart Cut Above Treat Bag kits. Who says they have to be just for treats right ?
I know.  With the assembly of the treat bag, which comes complete in the kit with enough supplies to make up 10 in each kit and a little self made insert card to hand the necklace from, I have been able to create the perfect display for my hand made necklaces to hang from for gifts.
The cut above kits were so easy to create and they stand up on their own to display the necklaces.
So if you love making your own jewellery for gifts think about using these fantastic cut above kits.

I wanted to add extra photos to my album, being a new nana in 2014 I had a stack of photos of my first grand child that I just had to brag about, so I added a few  FLIP FLAPS so that I could store extra photos in my year noted mini album.  It was a great way to have a complete year in review.

CRAFT STORAGE IDEA'S - CLOSE TO MY HEART PICTURE MY LIFE - MEDIUM ORGANISER

As many crafters know, Organisation and Storage of our Craft supplies, is at times an impossible task, but once done makes our crafting time so much easier.
Close To my heart have a range called PML - PICTURE MY LIFE CARDS.
Im starting to get a little collection of cards which I use on a variety of projects, from card making, to scrapbooking to 3d projects, including My Crush books and Mini Albums.

They were always in a mess and so unorganised.  So today I sorted them all into their themes.

Using a Close To My Hearts MEDIUM ORGANISER as a filing system to place and protect my PML cards was a NO Brainer.  Now no matter whether I am creating or selling my PML cards everyone can see and sort through them.
